Overview

This personal website project is born from the idea of freeing myself from social media while still having a corner in the internet to update my friends and register a bit of my life. While I already have a website, it’s main purpose is to be a portfolio, so the blog entries should only be of technical subjects and it should only be used to display my coding endeavors.

I decided on making it feel cozy, for me the cozy feeling is mostly brought upon seeing earthy tones so I decided on the following [[Color Schemes|color schemes.]] They match up nicely with the ivory background I decided on for the light theme. I’m still trying out the night theme tones but will probably go with either Eerie Black or Chinese Black as the background, still gotta decide the primary and secondary tones to pair up with it.

The blog will be simple, the main page will have a brief intro, a grid of pictures of things I like and myself, the blog post will be simple as well with prose and a bit of rounded (0.75rem) and gridded images. I found these [[References|references]] while looking and they capture some of what I’m going for. I will also setup a logged in area with a secret URL so I can store some private entries, and will need to setup an SMTP server, as well as maybe an Whatsapp bot, to handle updating my friends.

The website will be mostly static with posts coming from local .md files, it’s just not worth having a db for it.
